Grid Views Basics (v104.5)
Learn what a grid view is and where you can find them. What is a Built-In view? Can I set a Default View?
Do you need your own view to open by default?
Features Of The Grid View
Some features are common to grid views, watch this video to learn about these features eg. navigation buttons, startup, toolbars, actions, filters and columns and search bar. Toolbars are very useful for changing mode, sorting, filtering, totalling, analysing, and
Finding records in the grid view. What's the difference between Quick Filter and Find In?
Customising The Grid View
Customise grid views by adding/removing columns, changing the positions of columns, defining sort order and filtering. The columns available relate to the grid view. Only chosen columns can be used to sort. Filters can be created on any column available in the grid view.
Set the sort order on the customer grid view - sorting on a trader user field (statement type) and then customer code.
Example: Create a filter on trader user field 'Statement type' to have a grid view of all customers that receive their statements by email and save the grid view.
You could also create another version that lists all customers that don't receive their statement by email and save that grid view also.
Creating More Complex Filters
How to limit the data on the grid view based on conditions on the information in the columns eg dates, amounts, text, true/false eg "Customer On Interest", document kinds, managers, entered by, edited by, limited values eg "Post State".
