Stock take - Intro
Stock Taking Overview
Methods for counting stock and what to do when the count is complete. Tools include the Stock take Kiosk, Scan App and paper-based counting. When complete create stock quantity adjustments to change actual stock quantity and actual stock value. Reports that can be generated while counts are in progress.
Stock Take Kiosk
Overview of starting a Stock count using the Stock Take Kiosk.
Stock Take Kiosk. Starting the counts, high-level decisions on how / where and who should count. Products are verified as they are counted, and barcodes can be added if necessary. Best used with a barcode scanner, but possible to add products manually. Stopping / starting a job.
Create stock count jobs to count stock in a location and assign those jobs to users. Counts can be broken down using the Location Count Stock Structure
Login to the job, scan the barcode, confirm by voice, picture and description, and enter the quantity. Correct mistakes by changing the quantity entered. Actions to take if the product is a batched product. Actions to take when product is not found. Actions to take to delete a count.
Cloud Stock Take Kiosk App
Fantastic add-on to Stock Take Kiosk which allows users to use any wifi enabled device to add to a count job.
Login to Cloud Stock Take Kiosk App and select the correct job. Scan products and enter the quantity found. Correct mistakes by changing the quantity entered. Actions to take when product is not found.
Adding batch products to a count using the Stock Take Kiosk App
Cloud Scan App
Alternative counting tool. Add products on wifi-enabled device. Useful for companies with only one location and no batch products. Use with Stock Take Procedure only. Products are verified as counted.
Start a new Scan. Scan the product barcode or type in the code, and enter the quantity. Products are verified by description only. Counts do not consider batches.
Paper Based Counting
Counting with pen and paper. Various Stock Take Forms available, with and without expected quantities.
Choose the correct form to use with paper-based stock counts.
Stock Count Variance Report
How are Stock Take Kiosks counts progressing? Run this report to compare Actual stock quantities against Stock Take Counts.
Run by location to compare actual stock quantity and value against the Stock Take Count quantity and value. Scan Apps counts and paper-based counts are not included.
Stock Take Procedure
Counting has finished and now it is time to run the Stock Take Procedure which will create a Stock Quantity Adjustment. Best to complete this without interruption.

Adding Counts
Various methods of adding counts to the Stock Take Procedure. The methods used depend on count types used. Using Add All Expected Products
STK Import
Import counts from Stock Take Kiosk including Cloud Stock Take Kiosk App. Counts are consolidated resulting in one line per product.
Bulk Entry
Import from Scan App, counts are consolidated.
First step in creating Stock Quantity Adjustment. Add counts from various sources. Add all Expected Products (what should have been counted).
Dealing with issues
Tools to assist in fixing errors (red) and review warnings (yellow): differences between counted and expected. Explanation of Don't Adjust Quants and when to take this action.
Delete products with 0 differences. Red means must be resolved, yellow is a warning. ?Use tools such as Product Blank to Zero, Quant blank to zero.
Save and create Stock Quantity Adjustment
Checks before saving. All issues must be resolved before saving.
